<p><font size=1>The purpose of this page is to offer guidance to Hackney schools in implementing the National Curriculum 2000 frameworks for PSHE and Citizenship. <br>Whole school implementation of PSHE and Citizenship is advocated in The National Healthy School Standard (NHSS), Department of Health (DH) and DfES (1999) and is essential because so many aspects of school life influence pupils' personal and social development.</font></p>
<p><font size=1>The guidance is divided into two sections 'Policy' and the learning framework 'Schemes of Work' which sets out in Key Stages of 6 units of work for each year group, what pupils may be expected to know, understand and be able to do.</font></p>
